I'm sorry man but I think its time for a funeral...Just like what happened with my trustry old comp with Windows 98 when it got overloaded with viruses and when it became obselete by Windows 2000, and later, 2003 and XP.
Or, yeah, like you said, disc defragmenter may work if you can get the files to the other disc.
